Welcome Janet and your glitter toes!!!

I just wanted to formally "Welcome Janet" to the world of blogging. It's funny that feet are the reason she is here. However I figure if we've got her going on one page we might get her to actually join our ranks of bloggers. I've sure not been here for long but I'm totally addicted.
So please take a few to go and visit my little sister and her "Glitter Toes" blog. It's pretty new but hey we all have to start somewhere, right?

We hope to see lots more from her in the blogging department in the future!

Family Reunion's

Why in the heck do we do family reunions? They are so much work, frustration and a pain in the neck. Of course this is what I would say, because this was my year to host it. I was so busy keeping things going that I had very little time to just sit and visit. A couple of my siblings made me totally crazy, but that's how it was when we were all at home. Right? LOL... However I'm so very glad that the family reunion is over.

We had a great turn out, I believe somewhere around 100 but I'm not sure. With people coming and going all day long it was difficult to get a head count. My girls were wonderful and I really appreciate there help. Sarah was great with all the bingo, games and activities she helped me prepare for. Rachel and her hubby fixed us an amazing meal that evening and I think everyone enjoyed it way to much.

So to any family that reads this... Yay I'm thrilled I don't have to do this for another 9 years. Best of luck on yours when you do it, and I love you even when you make me totally crazy. I really look forward to the next few years when I can just sit back and visit with everyone! I think you always appreciate things like this better after you've been through it. I wonder if we could have a reunion blogging? lol... :)

Davy has his Mission Call!!!

Ok, so were super excited here at our house. Davy has his mission call!!! Yay!!! He is going to serve in the "Rapid City, South Dakota Mission". I know it doesn't sound fancy but it's a huge mission. It takes up all of South Dakota and North Dakota. Plus the whole west side of Minnesota, the northeast corner of Wyoming, plus a little chunks of Iowa and Montana. Some how I don't think he will be riding a bike much, I think he will have lots of area to cover.

So he goes into the MTC in Provo on the 8th of October and were super excited for him. We don't know yet when he will have a farewell but I'll try to get it posted so everyone knows. Were excited that we will have two missionaries out. I want to create blogs for both of my Missionaries but that will come in the future.

Blogging

Ok, now that I'm getting the hang of this blogging thing I find that I'm getting totally addicted. I've got a couple of others that I've been messing around with and now I feel that I'm finally ready to create my family site. My family is so very important to me and I love them all dearly. Weather it's my in-laws (or outlaws), my children, nieces, nephews or adopted friends. My life would not be what it is without our family.

I know our families started generations and generations ago but I am most grateful for my wonderful parents, and my husbands wonderful parents. Because without them we wouldn't be here having this wonderful experience. So sorry for bragging about my family but that is what this whole blog is going to be about. Also I want to link up to all the family I have where ever they maybe.

So thanks for stopping in... :)
